Brits Interested To Support Eco-Friendly Home Improvements

According to a report, it was revealed that eco-friendly home improvements seem to be increasingly adored by Britons.

A research conducted by Legal & General as a part of its ongoing Changing Face of British Homes study, showed that creating eco-friendly modification in the way of living is extremely popular option for the British people. The study revealed that about 37 per cent of people have established either draught-proofing or double glazing. Meanwhile, 25 per cent of people were interested in putting extra loft insulation.

Those consumers looking for an effective way to carry out eco-friendly improvements to their property, such as double-glazing and loft insulation and could not afford to cope with such expenses, taking out a low-cost home loan can be an appropriate option. These loans provide funds to the people to make their home beautiful and greener, with affordable monthly installments.

The study also indicated that just under three-quarters of Britons use low-energy light bulbs and 23 per cent of Britons are looking forward to reprocess rain water. People are trying their best to use electrical appliances in limit and do not use poly bags, these were also revealed to be popular eco-friendly lifestyle changes. Overall, 98 per cent of people are planning to take steps to improve their environmental efficiency.

However, a significant number of Britons want to have eco-friendly changes whenever they feel to do so, with more than half of those questioned said that they are not happy with the charges for waste removal services. An estimated 23 per cent said that they didn't bother to pay for plastic carrier bags at supermarkets and shops.

Commenting on the figures, Ruth Wilkins, head of communications for Legal & General’s general insurance business, said: Brits simply want to make their own decisions about how and when to be green and nobody should force them with such implications.
