According to a research carried out by money supermarket, those living in rural areas of Britain are facing more difficulty because of increase in prices as compared to the people living in urban areas. The rural people have fixed amount of monthly income and the rise in prices creates imbalance in their spending. The price comparison site reported that they are also finding problems from increased prices of food, diesel and petrol. The villagers are very much dependent on oil for heating and they also live far away from major supermarkets and retailers.

Those who are struggling to cope up with recent increases in the cost of food and fuel may find that their ability to meet other expenses like credit card bills, mortgage payments and personal loans which they had taken to fulfill their needs are pinching their pocket.

It is very difficult to pay off the borrowed amounts on time with a fixed monthly salary and to deal with various creditors at one point of time. In order to manage the rises in cost of living, one should consolidate their debts into a single loan.

Money supermarket pointed the north-west village of Patterdale where the cost of petrol is seven pence per litre which is higher than the national average. Meanwhile, the typical income sets at 19,200 pounds, with council tax for a band D home at 1,460 pounds.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the majority of homes in the village entail heating oil or bottled gas, the commodities which have doubled in cost over the past 12 months. In contrast, the average salary in Edinburgh is 20,000 pounds and council tax for the same band of property is 300 pounds lower than Patterdale.
