People Under Severe Debt Pressure

New research suggested that people living in Wales appear to be increasingly struggling with their finances.

In figures released by the Insolvency Service, it was indicated that some 2,009 consumers in the principality filed for an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) over the course of 2006. Such a figure shows growth of 146 per cent from data recorded in 2005 and a rise of 400 per cent from 2000.

Following such statistics it is possible that more consumers are creating difficulties coping with repayments on borrowing like mortgages, credit and store cards and overdrafts. At such situation applying for bad credit loans may prove to be effective. These loans will help the consumers to tackle all their financial commitments well despite their poor credit standing.

According to Jenny Willott, Welsh Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central, said: "These shocking figures are further evidence that the ticking personal debt time bomb we have long warned about is begin to blow up. Credit card debt is soaring, repossessions are increasing and now we see a massive jump in the number of people going into bankruptcy or turning to IVAs. A big problem fuelling the rise in personal debt is the low level of financial literacy and understanding of how to cope with personal finances smartly."

The MP stated that due to a lack of awareness in regards to monetary matters, many consumers are often "unable to tackle their debt effectively". However, seeking bad credit loans not only provide finance to the consumers but also give them opportunity to improve their credit status by making repayments on time.
